Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvin Brown, known in the showbiz as Kelvynboy says his dad was never in support of his music career due to the SDA church, his dad attended.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Satana on Atuu, he said that his dad stopped taking care of him because of the lifestyle he chose and also singing in other churches aside SDA church.

According to him, a pastor from a church he used to sing at was the one who took care of him and sent him to SHS when his dad stopped taking care of him.

He further added that the pastor even stopped taking care of him right after SHS because he wanted to do music aside from singing in church.

“So I had to join a live band when I moved to Accra which I eventually left. Life wasn’t easy after I left so I came back to join the band,’ he said.
